Get Up and Follow Him!

I find it helpful to keep a fresh perspective on the things I do daily, monthly, yearly, and over a lifetime.  Sitting at a red light observing drivers doing their thing  this morning I thought:

That shortcut through the parking lot you took that saved you a few minutes (perhaps seconds?!?!?) sitting at a red light pales in comparison to the person's life that was ended because of you speeding through a parking lot.

Keeping a healthy perspective or ladder of importance helps in making decisions that are best for others and ourselves.  Your job will be there tomorrow (maybe).  Maybe no one even notices you are late or cares.  Maybe the light is about to change and you would have arrived at the same point just as fast.  But the death you may cause will haunt you the rest of your life and anyone can see that.
Don't let hindsight be your guide in life.  Have the foresight and judgment to make better decisions.  Learn from others' mistakes.  That is the surest sign of a wise person.  No one can define this ladder for you.  You are responsible for the life you have been gifted with.

Try to live in such a way that you enrich others' lives, you have few regrets (good luck on this one), and you don't take unnecessary risks for the sake of your loved ones.

Tomorrow is not guaranteed and I know it is all in God's hands.  My death was planned before my birth according to the Words I live by.  My part is stewarding this life well.  Will I make mistakes?  Have I made mistakes?  Hell yeah I have!  What do I do?  Fold it up?  No!  I repent and move on to the next moment.

It's not if you will fall, but what you do when you get up.  YHVH is looking for men and women who get up quickly and move on to what He has next.  He has more than enough forgiveness for a lifetime of mistakes you can make.  If you do a survey of the great men of the Bible, you might be surprise at how bad they were.  So why did Elohim use them?

My guess is that they were not going to be held down by their failures and the associated guilt.  They knew one thing: Follow Him good and faithful servant.  God does not count your lack of strength against you.  In fact, He prefers the weak.  They are the ones who understand their need for Him the most.
